Why is red palm oil so nutritious?

Red palm oil contains the carotenoids and a special form of vitamin E. Most people are not aware of the fact that many different kinds of vitamin E occur in nature and that some forms of vitamin E are more beneficial than others. Red palm oil contains vitamin E tocotrienols, a powerful form of vitamin E, which acts as a super-antioxidant.

The carotenoids in red palm oil also act as antioxidants and one of these carotenoids, namely lycopene, is associated with a reduced risk of certain types of cancer.

Red Palm oil (Carotino) is naturally high in anti-oxidant pro-Vitamin A (alpha and beta carotene) Vitamin E and lycopene. Anti-oxidants fight cell damage caused by ‘free radicals’ (toxins) in the body and are essential for the immune system. Medical research has highlighted the vital role anti-oxidants play in fighting heart disease, strokes and cancer –they may even help slow the ageing process.

Red Palm oil is also a good, natural source of Co-enzyme Q10, which helps boost energy and maintain vitality, plus Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The essential ‘long chain’ fatty acids known as Omega 3 and Omega 6 are important for good nutrition, normal growth and cell regeneration.
